And so, the ending of Chapter 1 of this comic series is coming up soon. While this is happening, I’d like to take a moment of your time to address the purpose of this comic to you all. This entire comic series is a script based scenario driven story where characters of any caliber are given the chance to chase the planet’s most dangerous threat and grab him for a massive amount of money. Any character willing to take part in this sprite-based comic can be featured in the story, and it will end depending on how popular the actual story is. The name of the comic will be announced once the Prologue ends.
Each role-play drives the story forward, or if you don’t want to do a role-play and just want me to use your character, then just give me the info on the character and I’ll work with it from there! Honestly, just having people wanting to be part of this story is enough of a motivator for me. It’s been so long since I did an actual series people are willing to take part in, so having people come in to join gives me a reason to take part.
I will also need at least 2-3 guests for the prologue scene if anyone is willing. All I'd need is a pose that looks like they are watching tv or reacting to the news.
Before you begin, however, there are some rule’s I’d like to address.
Please have a full sprite sheet- Or at least with some of the essentials. Kick attacks, punch attacks, basic poses, walks, jumps, and hurt animations. If your character is a simple recolor or an edit, I can at least help making some more poses for you if you don’t have enough, but please do moves your sprite sheet shows you able to do. Either that or I just find a way to rewrite the script so I can work around that limitation.
No God modding- God modding is in essence when someone’s character has the ability to do practically anything without limits or boundaries. The only time I’d ever allow it to happen would be if we discussed the plot of the rp or you had a character that had a very well written reason for being so crazy powerful. Otherwise, this rule is to balance out any potential contradictions in the story.
I won’t judge your character for being able to regenerate or teleport as long as there is a limit to it, much like how my character has physical limits. It just helps me with the flow of the story itself. Don’t make it so Cory’s journey ends with you. I want this to go as long as I can. Either that or we can just mess around.
Cory’s weaknesses are his own mental limitations and his stamina, which he has a massive amount of but he keeps it on a budget. Unless he has a constant fuel source, he won’t turn into a leviathan.
I am capable of doing script or para roleplays. Either way, please check your grammar- I am not a stickler for how someone writes a simple sentence. As long as either of the posts looks engaging for me to write, I will keep going regardless. All I ask is that you rewrite a sentence if I have no clue what you said. I may or may not rewrite some dialogue so that certain scenes make sense if I need to. Roleplaying marks as both the planner and the rough draft.
No Metagame - It’s when you attempt to join a game where you learn about information while out of character that can affect the story. Think of it like this-
The main villain is talking to an assistant about special formula that can create toast monsters.
The Heroes are not there, therefore, they should not be able to know this is going to happen unless this was planned.
If you are out of character and hear this conversation just to go to the villains while IN character just to stop them, then that makes the story pointless. Keep calm! We will get to that part soon. You’ll get that chance once we build some tension.
No Bunny-hopping- This is also called Powerplay to some role-players. Basically, don’t take control of my characters without my consent. The only exceptions I will allow for this rule would be if there was a mind controlling scene to an extent in the role-play or a character body switch. Otherwise, let me play as my own character.
No Autoing- Basically, don’t do this: ( The snack snaps back and snaps your stupid neck but you can’t fight back because you now DEAD. FYEMS.)
There are exceptions to this rule
NPC mass attacking- We can’t control every NPC that attacks us, so go ahead and just attack them as you please. Basically, Mass NPC is the same as Kill Bill where the main character was fighting a bunch of henchmen by herself. Do you care if they have a past or emotion?…Probably, but how you handle the situation is up to you. Just mowing over them will let the RP go on.
Permission is granted- At some point, a character will die. Neither of us knows when that will happen, but you are free to do it when it’s decided to do it. Otherwise, DON’T.
No Inappropriate NSFW roleplaying- I mean, I might allow some themes of it, but there is NO way I’m ever putting a full-on sex scene in the comic. No one wants to see two 2d figures trying to sex…okay, SOME people do, but not EVERYONE. Not in a comic like this. You can have characters flirt or whatever, but I won’t go farther than that…
Unless it helps the plot.
Ready to start a roleplay? Great! Send a message that you read the rules and we can discuss what you want to do-
I’m a chill guy. We can mess around if you like. Up to you o3o.
Hello, friends! it's me, Doodleking400.
I've decided to come back, but with a few changes.
